Easter Happenings!!
6:44 AM
Easter break started with picking up aunt Shubha from the airport and in mahi's words " Are we pickuping shubha atta." On our way back from a grocery trip to the mall the same day in the morning she saw an airplane and started screaming on top of her voice" Plane please come back... get atta back". I had to do some real convincing to make her understand that she will come in the evening in some other airplane. Phew!!
So excited at the airport to have her atta...
And here she comes, already with a toy :) apparently on one of their phone chats mahi had told her to get her a surprise... and like always she took her way too seriously.
Shopping time for both accessory lovers!!
We have big changes upon us as we are moving base to Canberra soon, therefore we planned a quick trip to do a few house inspections . We spent the entire next day in inspections and started in the afternoon back to Sydney. We were probably being too positive about inspecting just a few properties, making our mind on one and to even get it eventually.. Fingers crossed!!
One the way was this scenery so captivating that we really wished we could stop, but with Mahi we weren't sure because she was so reluctant to get back in the car when we first stopped for a breakfast break.
Mahi drunk /sleep!!
Wakey! wakey happened after good hour and a half .... and that gave us all to catch a breath too
And here we reach Canberra!! The good old city that was my first home when I initially came to Australia some five years back...
Being all touristy for the last time until we begin a new chapter of our life here shortly!!
The best coffeee!! Or probably we were way too tired ..
While we walked the streets, Mahi wanted to be holding a pretend baby and kept walking with it for such a long time...
Until dad picked her up to cross the road and she goes " My baby is falling" ... What all do these lill brains cook up and how well do they get into the character ...
BACK TO SYDNEY
We always do something for our Easter break but this one seemed to have slipped just like that... busy with house and packing. Aunt Shubha came to our rescue and booked in for this amazing dinner cruise MV 2000 which is one of the best and most prestigious cruising restaurants in Sydney. I had heard a lot about it but to experience it was a feast..
While we waited for our cruise ship to anchor the lighting was just so perfect that I had to take my camera out.... I go crazy for good lighting because that means no editing for me.
Finally the vessel arrived and it was majestic...
It is built with so much sophistication that you get to feel the aristocracy as soon as you enter..
We were seated and one of their in house photographers took a couple of our pictures ( luxury) Mahi was so excited!! saying" Cheers" louder than it looks here :)
We were served Ravioli for Entree and was absolutely delicious .. however being a vegan the mains, like always, disappointed me... but the dessert did it's magic..
After dinner we were called on the dance floor and I took Mahi on to the floor, thinking she would be shy I kept close to her but she was so comfortable on her own and after getting a few applause wanted to soak up in all the attention that she was getting from complete strangers.... she is not learning any kind of dance at the moment but my lill ballerina was actually performing ballet dance moves ( Thanks to Emma in Wiggles).... She earned herself a standing ovation from the crowd in the end of the jamming session.. Proud mommy!!
It was time to get to the deck and have the splendid views... although we have all done it a couple of times but it just seem so new and different every time we cruise around..
Mahi's fave Luna park all lit up and oh!! soo inviting!!
It was such a splendid night and we all could have all that fun only because the baby was in the best of her moods and has also grown enough that there is not much running around anymore.
And that's how our Easter happenings came to an end!!
