Birthday Wishes from Mommy

My Mahi

God has been very kind to bless me with an incredible daughter and there has been no day ever since you are born that I missed to Thank HIM for he made you mine.

He has made you so special, with your warm smile, cute silliness, your little puffy hands and your endless cuddles.  You bring such a light to every room you enter and are such a happy go lucky girl.

I know you are little but you are so ahead of your age. Your make conversations like a grown up and what draws people towards you most, is to see how considerate you are at this age.  It’s so easy for girls to turn catty and mean towards each but my wish for you is that you never tread that way and instead be very considerate and loving towards your peers.  You have the spark that could be used for a lot of Good in this world.
I also admire the strong sense of self you have. Often catch you admiring yourself in the mirror and smiling. You think you are Beautiful, and you are my sweet girl.  You love singing on top of your voice (mostly in tune) and never shy away .We are absolutely sleeping and waking up to Moana song these days ha! Ha!  Always be this confident in life and never let anything turn you down. It’s usually not others who affect us but we ourselves who let it happen. Be strong and always shine bright.
The past year was a lot of growing up and learning for both of us. I had dusted my hands thinking your terrible two’s went silent and three would just be easy peasy, but we had our head butting moments. The only relief was that such incidents were rare.
I am so proud of all your accomplishments this year. Long gone are the days when we left you crying in the day care. You  have made good friends in the school and your teacher tells how you three besties walk hand in hand and go singing in the isles, it’s so precious . Even though you are going for only two days for now until Grandma and Grandpa are here, I am not nervous about you starting five days very soon.   I love to see you all excited the night before and you go running around “school day” “school day”. I had never imagined seeing you this happy going to school.

Weaning night diapers in the beginning of this year was a big one.  You just decide to change things and never look back and I really admire you for it. It’s a very rare virtue and would take you long way if you be on the right path.

You are a very keen learner and have a brilliant attention span. Your observation is so detailed and you grasp pretty quickly. Nanu and Nana love teaching you new stuff and are so proud of you. Nana gets so amused to see you make such big puzzles in a couple of minutes.  You seem so sure of whatever you do except for eating. You are still a picky eater and we go through a lot of head butting around meal time.  I am just hoping it would get better this year.

It’s been four years that you came into our lives and my love for you has grown with each passing day.  I can never forget the day they put you on my belly and I was so thrilled to have MY OWN GIRL!! My precious little daughter.
It’s going to be tough on my heart to send you to school all 5 days starting next week.Majorly, after all the pampering you got from your Nanna, Nanu & Awwa ,Tata this past year.

I know so many things are ahead of you Mahi and I am so confident that this year is going be your best yet.

Happy Birthday!  Popsicle. I love you from your head to your little toes.

Love,

Mama (your Cupcake)
