Cairns (Day3&Day4)

We started our third day pretty early as we were heading to the Fitzroy Island which was an hour run from Cairns. It was the hottest day ever and all we needed was to get on board.

She had just too many reasons to get excited... but the moment caught below is while she chased a bee.... perks of being a child I guess. You just don't need a reason too big to get all excited.

But all thanks to Miss B I get to take a few awesome shots of her. It's getting harder to have her stand for a photo for more than 5 sec these days. I might be considering of hiring a personal Bee which could keep her absorbed at least for a few more seconds until I get it all right.

We had a nice sail and had quite some time on the deck....

The sceneries were amazing  and so picturesque....

Mahi didn't want to leave both her grandpas for they are soo much fun to be around and did exactly what she wanted..

And finally our sail anchored to this....and we were all dying to just get changed and into the water ...

The water was good but the beach was all coral so didn't get to find too much sand to build the big castles which we had in our mind but mahi and aunt shubha still managed to put the toys to some good use and were so determined to generate some electricity with their water mill.

Mommies were having a great time together..

Boys took off with their kayaks while we invented our own games like, building a tower for some better phone reception and then the Mougli swing... hehe!!

It was great being in the water and to just feel the outer coral reef under our feet. It felt so strange and funny.

Had a fantastic/exhausting third day and slept most of our way back to cairns.... I must have had the most peaceful sleep that night.

DAY-4

Finally came the  day we all had been waiting for and the day that fulfills our purpose for the visit as we were doing  " THE GREAT BARRIER REEF". We left home pretty early that morning again and before we knew we were onboard.

Mahi and Adi had their own bonding times on the boat...

We headed for the lunch buffet after the boat was anchored on the pontoon. It had a great variety and it was real sweet of them to make some special dishes just for the ten of us knowing we were
vegans (Well!! most of us)

Thereafter started all the fun and the activities. Exploring a world that's totally new and so very wonderful. Sad that due to medical reasons I was not allowed to participate in any of it but the very feel of being on the barrier was good. I might go there some day again and live it for both the visits.

Going in for Scuba :)

Snorkel fun!!

Helmet diving!!

It was such a wonderful trip and we all definitely made memories to cherish for the rest of our lives.
