Brisbane fun

Oh yes!! It was again time for us to pack our bags and lift off :)  We were going to Brisbane                   ( Our holiday destination). Mahi does so much facetime with aunt shubha and bujji and her grandparents that she was totally aware of who is she going to meet. I could see it written all over her face how very excited she was... Kept screaming ... Airport!! Airport!!

Taking responsibility of her own luggage... NICE!!

She was so amused by these and spent most of the time around them playing and drinking water...

In the queue still...

After coming back from our trip to Cairns we decided to get her head shaved off and though I knew I would miss these beautiful curls...

We started all good and excited and she knew it was the " Barber" and that mahi will have a hair cut...

It was going great until the front was shaved... things took a bad shape during the later half and candy came in for the rescue. We fed her smittle after smittle to at least keep her off from crying.

And once it was all done.... missy not too satisfied with the job and threw a fit of a kind :( my poor girl all bald. Trust me I could have shed a tear or two because I loved those curls.

From that Barbers shop until we reached home she exploited us good. We had to buy candy of her choice and she get to go on the ride for a couple of times, followed by some more candy.

We then celebrated mom's birthday and it was such a great year to have been around for both mom and dad's birthday. Little Mahi totally helping nanya blowing the candles after she gets a good flick lick of the icing on the cake.

We headed to the Gold coast the next day for a quick trip and for our victorian family portrait.  We all love dress ups and this year even mahi seem to enjoy it all.

We had to postpone our travel back to Sydney by a couple of days as Mahi's Awwa( grandma) wanted to perform some religious ceremony for her on a particular day. We all helped mom with the rangoli and then got mahi dressed for the ceremony.

Mahi had a nice flower shower followed by M n M's shower...

We had a great Brisbane trip and before we knew it was over. Looking forward to meet up with everyone soon.

Cairns (Day3&Day4)

We started our third day pretty early as we were heading to the Fitzroy Island which was an hour run from Cairns. It was the hottest day ever and all we needed was to get on board.

She had just too many reasons to get excited... but the moment caught below is while she chased a bee.... perks of being a child I guess. You just don't need a reason too big to get all excited.

But all thanks to Miss B I get to take a few awesome shots of her. It's getting harder to have her stand for a photo for more than 5 sec these days. I might be considering of hiring a personal Bee which could keep her absorbed at least for a few more seconds until I get it all right.

We had a nice sail and had quite some time on the deck....

The sceneries were amazing  and so picturesque....

Mahi didn't want to leave both her grandpas for they are soo much fun to be around and did exactly what she wanted..

And finally our sail anchored to this....and we were all dying to just get changed and into the water ...

The water was good but the beach was all coral so didn't get to find too much sand to build the big castles which we had in our mind but mahi and aunt shubha still managed to put the toys to some good use and were so determined to generate some electricity with their water mill.

Mommies were having a great time together..

Boys took off with their kayaks while we invented our own games like, building a tower for some better phone reception and then the Mougli swing... hehe!!

It was great being in the water and to just feel the outer coral reef under our feet. It felt so strange and funny.

Had a fantastic/exhausting third day and slept most of our way back to cairns.... I must have had the most peaceful sleep that night.

DAY-4

Finally came the  day we all had been waiting for and the day that fulfills our purpose for the visit as we were doing  " THE GREAT BARRIER REEF". We left home pretty early that morning again and before we knew we were onboard.

Mahi and Adi had their own bonding times on the boat...

We headed for the lunch buffet after the boat was anchored on the pontoon. It had a great variety and it was real sweet of them to make some special dishes just for the ten of us knowing we were
vegans (Well!! most of us)

Thereafter started all the fun and the activities. Exploring a world that's totally new and so very wonderful. Sad that due to medical reasons I was not allowed to participate in any of it but the very feel of being on the barrier was good. I might go there some day again and live it for both the visits.

Going in for Scuba :)

Snorkel fun!!

Helmet diving!!

It was such a wonderful trip and we all definitely made memories to cherish for the rest of our lives.
