Our first week back home!!

I have missed you and missed you again some more. Finally visited you after a long two and a half years and now with lill toddler. Dreamt of this time and lived it a million times in my head.

Now after three and a half months of holidaying in India I have been spoilt rotten. With having served breakfast in bed, massages, amazing food, friends and family and lots of love and laughter. The time went by too quickly indeed and now we are here back to where we belong to now.

I love Australia but what India does to me is mystical. It has a strange hold over me. The colors, the people, the farms ,the street food and most importantly my family.

Its been almost two weeks that we are back from India now and have finally started to feel settled. The first few days were quite heartbreaking  for mahi would wake up in the middle of  the night and start calling out for everyone in India. Though we were very happy to be back with daddy I guess we were still missing India a bit too much.

Going back to our last day in India. Nanu and Nanya came all the way to Delhi to see us off and on our way we just HAD! to stop by this eating place. It serves some amazing food.I remember it being just a normal road side diner and now its turned all fancy. The food is so awesome!!

On our arrival at the airport we were hoping to get a visitors pass  for mum and dad so that we could be together for a few more hours but DAMN!! Security issues. They no longer did that and we had to say our good byes from the door as tears rolled down the cheeks without warning.Mahi is still not aware of the concept of separation but kept looking at the back for her nanu and nanya.
 I HATE FAREWELLS!!

Well, from there on it was just me and Mahi. All by ourselves after a good three and half months of  soo much support around. I was so nervous about the thirteen hour flight and kept my fingers crossed..

So thrilled to see the Airplane. She was screaming all through her way to the inside...

My poor baby had not got any sleep in almost ten hours when we boarded the plane and wasn't too excited to be belted on the seat. In an hour after we took off I decided to give her a tiny doze of the medicine that would put her to sleep.

She slept right through and I was so glad. I felt a little guilty about giving her the drug but I knew it would make her comfortable and she would wake up fresh.

We reached Sydney to Winters. The fastest season change ever. From peak summers to winters in thirteen hours.  Mahi was so shy to see her dad at first and then ten minutes later it was all about "papa see" "papa I bub u" "papa come" ... It was so sweet of daddy dear to get her this cute balloon.

The coming weekend we had the sun shining bright and we made sure to get out of the house for a little outing .

My little princess on the go!

We dropped by Ikea to pick up some stuff and little missy had made friends already..

The kids had a nice time playing around and I guess all the running around got sister a little tired..

Calls for a nap!!

We headed to our sisters house for Rakhi celebrations and Mahi was so thrilled about the entire thing..

My cousin tied a Rakhi knot on kalyan's wrist as he had none of his sisters around. She is such a gem of a person and we love her so much.

Followed by a great Karaoke session....

Mahi had a good time with so many kids around  and finally we made some new memories. Now she has something else to talk about other than India.

Cheers! to happy times :)
