23 MONTHS OLD
Hey Baby,
Well you definitely are no more are a baby and I certainly cannot wrap my head around the fact that in a months time you will be 2. I almost have a TWO year old toddler!! What is happening?? Can't believe that the next monthly blog would be " MAHI IS TWO".
Like always I am so very proud of you and your little personality there. You are such a sweet girl with so much compassion. You are so friendly and would never shy away to say a hello to complete strangers.
Well they say it right that the second year goes even quicker. You are such a different girl now. You have learnt so much in this past one year and are super fun to be around.
Well,what's new is The "tantrums" and Oh!! the big tantrums that you throw can totally swirl mommy's world but the only silver lining that gets me going is that " This too shall pass. Just a phase" and hoping it to end real soon :(
Life has been an absolute bliss ever since you have entered our world and we could have not asked for a girl more perfect than you.

PERSONALITY:- The friendly soul that you are, it fills my heart with joy to see you interact with kids around you. You deal with every situation with so much poise. The other day I went shopping toys with you and you started playing with little boy on a train track table displayed there. The guy got a little fussy about you touching stuff and you with all the grace just went on to the next table which had a race track and started playing with the cars. The boy came there and started to pull cars from you and you again left and went back to the train table and had it all to yourself because the guy got busy with cars. NO FUSS!! NO DRAMA!! NO COMPLAINTS!! Just the way you solve problems.
SLEEPING :- We are still working on your sleep patterns. You hit the bed betwwn 9and 10pm but still have to be rocked to sleep. Now that you have words to say ,you would just keep saying"Mama stand there" which in your language means " Rock me". You are sleeping through the nights easy and take a two hour nap during the day. I am so done with rocking you and I am hoping this ends before you turn TWO!!
You go to bed saying" Night NIght, Sleep Tight, don't let the bed bugs baaaaaaaaaiiiiiite" and wake up in the mornings with the biggest smile on your face saying"Goood Moooooorning" " Helllo Sun" and " Acha ninnu kiya"( had a good sleep).
EATING:- Your eating has gone much better from the last month. You love your corn and can eat as many as three a day. You have started having milk with Milo and I am so very glad. You have been very picky about your foods from the past few months and I miss that girl who would eat just about anything I put in front of her.I am dreading you might go even pickier once you are TWO...
* You are crazy about your dolls and they go with you where ever you go.
* You love the outdoors and get so excited. The only way I can get you to do things is when you know we are going out.
* Your fave cartoon shows these days are "curious George" and "The Wiggles". Frozen is still your all time fave movie.
* Your fave story book is " Princess Lilly" which your sis Sai got for you from France. You are even sleeping holding it these days.
*You love rides and get so thrilled and want to sit on each and everyone of them.
* You have a thing for balls, balloons and baby strollers and God! the smile they bring on to that face.
* you have been talking up a storm and also repeating everything, so we have to really watch what we say around you!
* ALPHABETS:- You know the entire ABC song and sing it beautifully. You seem to know your music notes.
* NUMBERS:- You can count upto 10 perfectly well and after that would say alternate numbers till 20.
* COLORS:- You can identify red, yellow and pink depending on the mood otherwise the whole world is PINK for my girly girl.
* FRUITS:- You know some of your fruits mango( you got eat a lot of them in India) Orange, banana, strawberry and apple.
* VEGETABLES:- You can say carrots, corn, beans , potato and tomato.
* You call water "mum mum " and sometimes ask for snack" SACK"
* You sing so many rhymes including "Twinkle twinkle" "Rain rain go away" " Incy wincy spider" "Johnny Johnny" " Row row row your boat" and many more...
* You love talking on the phone and face timing with your grandparents and would say " aajao ji" ( Please come) "budhu raam"(JLT)
* you are my little dancing queen, I think dance classes are in your future. And you have some rhythm for being so little!
BATH TIMES :- We have taken bath times to a next level and its so much more fun with these foam alphabets and numbers which float in water and stick so easily to the wall.... I wish they did more for shapes and other stuff. The best thing is that they are BPA free which make them even safer to use.
You are enjoying the play group even more from where we left. She has started to make friends and loves all the running around and rhyme singing.
All in all you are grooming up reasonably well with all your "Sorry s" " Thank you s" and " Excuse me" in place. You also go saying " Bless You" when someone sneezes or coughs.
