Diwali 2016
4:35 AM
The festival of lights is one of the very important days of the year for us and it becomes all the more special if you have your dear friends and family around.
The festive season started for us with an amazing Diwali barbecue at a friends place and everyone enjoyed the evening which stretched not just to the night but almost early morning.
We knew that once the kids started playing they would not agree to give us any pretty shots for the camera, therefore we made sure all their pictures were taken just as the first thing and then they all could go in their DO NOT DISTURB mode.
My friend made this beautiful Rangoli with small little bangles...
Thankfully Diwali fell on a weekend this year. Mahi loves everything about festivals and she gets that entirely from me. I still get excited like a little girl around the festivals. Diwali is done so big in India that you can't help but miss all your family and friends back in the country. We were lucky to have kalyan's mom and dad with us and it was such a pleasure to have them home.
You will value this photo more than any when you grow bigger ... you are so lucky to get all the love from the grandparents.

Look how adorable these princesses look......
And they all got presents from Aunt Rachana for being very good kids :)
