Mahi's monthly summary ( July)
Well! Well! Well! I have no idea how to re program you because there is definitely something wrong with how you perceive instructions... somehow the" No" command has been replaced by " Sure you can" and therefore every time I say No you hear it otherwise.
You are so capable of making me pull my hair out of anger in one minute to admire you with your sweet gestures and cuddling you the second... gotten me somewhere close to having a split personality disorder.. But who can be angry with you for long... I mean seriously look at that smile, it can melt an iceberg!!
This month had been incredible, with our overseas journey(which was more of falling sick journey) to starting school... We survived through it all :) Now things have started to fall in place but every previous night to when you go to school there is a lot of convincing from you for not sending you there and the conversation goes like this
Mahi:- I don't want to go to school ( crying)
Mommy:- No baby you have to, all kids go ( assertive)
Mahi:- But I want to be home ( crying)
Mommy:- See you will have so many friends there to play with and so many toys ( still assertive)
Mahi:- But I want to stay at home with you mommy, I love you soo much, I miss you at school ( wiping her tears, still crying)
Mommy:- Silent ( heart melted ) cuddles Mahi and tells her Ok.. stay home ..(Pathetic loser mum)
You talk soooo much and frame very long sentences, I completely forget sometimes that you are just two because you talk like a four year old. All the educators in the childcare have to say the same for you that your communication skills are absolutely amazing ( proud mommy).
You love singing and the other day when mommy was listening to Chiquita song from ABBA you loved it and it plays continuously plays on my phone now and you are picking up the tune and lyrics very well.
The other day you were trying hard to put something in your nose and I ran all worried to see if you are not shoving up paper or peanuts... you open your hand it was a booger. When I asked you what is it that you were trying to do, you go " I am putting the booger back to keep it safe in the nose" Seriously if that's how you save your assets you will be a rich women one day... LOL!!
In playtimes your new fave are puzzles and the memory match games on the phone. Daddy loves doing them with you and you are just over the moon when he calls you to do so. Outdoors are your ever fave and watering the plants ( more of the ground actually) keeps you occupied for long hours.
Some of the things that you do make me soo proud like how you always put your socks in the shoes and keep your shoes in the place when you come from outside. How you try folding laundry with me and actually help me put all the socks in yours and daddy's sock drawers. How you eat so meticulously and are eager to clean the table if something drops. All in all you are a very clean and systematic girl.

Your still want me to rock when you take your afternoon nap and you would go on and on requesting until I finally do it. Below is the link to how she persuades me to get rocked... Your afternoon nap for two hours which is good and are sleeping almost ten hours in the night.
You love your outdoors and say "are we going to the restaurant" I can keep you in the mall and you will be as happy as ever. You have recently discovered the word " WHY" and when we go to the shopping centre you bombard me with soo many questions which I honestly love to answer. You are so aware of your surroundings now and want a clarification about everything that is beyond your understanding.
We love to be the silly family once in a while and you go crazy giggling. You love it when we adults do anything apart from looking grown up.
You are a natural when it comes to posing... all mommy says is smile and i get this..
You are back into diapers because of all the traveling that we did but we are again starting to keep you without it during the day. In the playschool you are in diapers for the whole day until the weather becomes a little warm because I would not want you to be wet and cold when you play out there.
1. You can build up 10 piece puzzles along with daddy.
2. You are self feeding breakfast.
3. You can spell your name and Identify a few alphabets.
4. You are learning two songs these days ..Chiquita and Mama Mia from ABBA and we also dance on it
5. When I say I love you, you go " But I love daddy more" :(
6. You give me soo many hugs and kisses and say " Come here you little punk"( Guilty is charged, I called you that)
7. You miss your nanu so much that you still pull his handkerchief out from your cupboard and go " I miss a little bit of nanu, he doesn't come to my Canberra" ( With a sulked up face)
I love you for all that you have become ,apart from when you are so cranked up but I know its just a phase that you will outgrow. You give me so many reasons to be proud of you every single day and I just keep thanking God to choose me to be your mommy.
