Naanu's Birthday!!

I live for such days!! It was my dad's birthday and I was celebrating it with him after good four years. Now, for a man this special his day had to be no ordinary. Therefore,in our simplest effort of letting him know how much we adore him we started our day with a bang entry in his room hands full of gifts and cards and lottttsss of NOISE!! Missy was singing" happy tooo naanu" with all her might.

Well he gets lucky with these sweet kisses every time....

In the evening we all decided to surprise dad with a celebration along with family. Mom was awesome in not just keeping the secret for an entire day but also took dad to meet one of their friends in the evening enabling us put up the decor and make the needed arrangements.

Mahi was just blown with having so many balloons to play with and cake and streamers. She kept on screaming "Happy Brrday naaau". My uncle aunt and sweet cousins came in the evening and just like always "WE GOT THE PARTY STARTED". The driver was sent to get mom and dad and we all popped out from behind darkness surprising dad " BIG TIME".

A few decent ones before we all in came in our real form!!

My cousin was visiting India with her cute lill four month old baby girl " Myra" and the last we met was eight years ago before she moved base to London.

Our lill missy stole the show and I saw mahi being possessive about mommy holding another baby for the very first time. But I wanted to cuddle Myra soo bad that this seemed to be the only solution..

The BIG DADDIES!!

The tiniest cuddle bug of our family...

We  kids had a great round of grooving on the dance floor and well because all the photographers were involved we didn't have any picture of it, Though I would have loved to have that moment captured. But when the biggies started to entertain us we had it well captured.

Naanu never goes out of poppy pops and if ever he does the other naanu fills in the stock. Love is all around us and we can't miss to Thank God for these precious moments. Treasure is not what your hands can hold but what your minds can cherish ( just made that up). Guess I was absorbed too deep in the emotion.

Lastly, here's to the team who make our life simple on an everyday bases.
The awesome man "Sanjeev" who cooks absolutely delightful meals  ( I might have drooled a bit while writing this) "Amit" who drives us around safe and sound.. and last but for sure not the least "Kajal" who looks after mahi and is such a sweet girl.

Life @ Nanu and Nanyas

Every Line in the poster below fits well in whats going on here these days. I cannot believe these are the same set of parents who raised us. Well I guess Mahi and her grandparents get along this well because they both share a common enemy...

Kids spot is there favorite these days. Although Mahi falls " below age" for maximum rides they still get so thrilled just by looking at her react to different kiddy stuff around.

Nanu turns into a lill boy and gets into the spirit of it all.

The Grand "parents" carriage!!

Mommy and me!

My lill NASCAR rider on a thrill ride...

And if I cry!

I get lots of cuddles followed by lots of chocolate ( some part of which has to be shared by nanu in absolute secrecy)

It's crazy how I can eat an Ice cream followed by choc and chips with nanu and nanya around.. I wish mommy could get this liberal.

And just when the tummy gets full and I am on a sugar high I board a plane ...

followed by  a boat ride  ...

Then comes a point where choc, ice creams and rides become monotony, so we then take refuge in the shopping mall and splurge on some toys...

But you see I don't wana come out too selfish so I promised nanu that I would help him pick some clothes for himself and I kept the promise well!!

They say it true that there is no place better to get spoilt rotten than grandparents house!!

So close yet a hug apart!!

It's been a month today and I am officially allowed to work on the laptop after my surgery. Missed my blog soo much. So let me pick it up from where I left.
It was the day of my surgery and  I left mahi sleeping in the morning with a kiss on her cheek.

I would be lying to say that I wasn't nervous but thankfully all went well and I was allowed to open my eyes at night and was also let go home. The procedure was quick but the after care of at least seven days had to be very disciplined and eyes had to be absolutely secure. Mom & Kajal( Mahi's nanny)  took charge of my sweet little girl and dad took charge of his girl. He made an extensive chart to know which eye drops to be put when. After all managing twenty six eye drops wasn't a task that easy.

With Dad around it all seems fun!! My uncle came to visit me and took  a few pictures from his phone and although I can't flaunt of how I look but  I am really thankful  for the clicks.

From that day on Mahi slept with mom, considering how violent she gets at night sometimes :) and could poke me in the eye.  I was not even allowed to come out of my room. Living under the same roof we were living quite apart. I had to keep my eyes shut for most of the day so they would just keep the baby monitor in my room for me to hear her voice...  I might have sat all by myself with dark glasses on for 7 days but guess who was on my mind 24x7 ....

It was the first time ever I had to live without her for so long and I just gave it after the fifth day and was almost in tears when I hugged her. I have to say though,  she did extremely well, much better than how I did .Very occasionally would she remember me and mom would tell her that mom has gone to office and she would nicely accept the fact.
I just know that I missed her crazy and I kept praying to God to make it the last separation of this kind ever. I am such an obsessed mum. Love you to bits my sugar plum.

Well the most important person because of which all happened so smoothly would be my mum. She is such a support and I was easy about being away from mahi only because I knew she is being looked after by someone more loving than her own mom. She would also sneak into my room every once in a while and tell me all that Mahi ate and drank and played during the day.

I have to be the luckiest girl in the whole world to have such supporting family.
Luv you mom and dad :)
