Daddy's Birthday!!
11:09 PM
Our man works so hard for his girls to make every day of our lives as special as it could be. His birthday is one of the most important days of the year for me and I make sure that he feels as special as he deserves to be.
Kalyan once told me about a childhood story and his love for superheroes. How he searched for a Spider man dress an entire day in the city but could find none. This left him quite upset and the incident seemed pretty close to his heart for him to remember for all these years.
Well this heartbreaking story gave me my theme and I decided to do a Superhero party for our Superhero.
I painted a special K initial to personalize it.With having a toddler it was impossible to throw him a surprise party this year and it worked really well because I could see him get so excited working around the theme.
The masks freaked mahi and she came running to me all weepy as soon as she saw someone wearing it or even if she saw them on the table.
Had quite a nice time with all our fave people around. Kalyan looked very happy and my motive was achieved.
Thank you for being the most amazing husband and father in the world. I thank God every single day for you.We love our Super Duper Hero sooo much!!

We invited just a few close friends and family and did the super hero IDs hanging outside the door for them to wear before they entered.
As our tradition mahi painted a card for her super dad and was totally blown with all colors and paint brushes.....
We ended up making this beautiful superman poster and framed it for a keepsake with little feet and hand print......

Mommy home Todd School!! COLOR "RED"
10:35 PM
I came across this amazing post of a mom who is home schooling her kids and it was amazing to see how the kids enjoyed it. Mahi is almost 18 now and I thought it's the perfect time to introduce her to some interesting stuff.
One thing that I love to do is Plan( and in mahi's case, I even end up executing, unlike many other plans that I make for myself).
We figured out the entire course for this year and I can already see mahi have so much fun exploring diff things and also keeps mommy's spirits high!!
By the End of this year we should be able to :-
1. Differentiate between a few basic colors.
2. Know our shapes.
3. Learn the farm animals
4. Learn about Ocean & Beach
5. Get a brief idea on the transportation.
This is my favorite part of the entire exercise where I let mahi explore different textures and also get some activities planned to develop her motor skills.
I have this weird habit of not throwing away the interesting packaging materials and they always come to some interesting use like the one below.
We did a little foot and hand print birthday card for dad's birthday and this exercise completely blew her mind.
The tester look to see my face expressions change while she gets the brush closer to her mouth to have a taste of it.

COLOR RED
We prepared a sensory box with all the red stuff we found around the house.
To be able to identify and learn the name of the color.
I placed the parcel outside the door, rang the bell and ran inside to her. Mahi gets so excited to hear the door bell these days and keeps pointing towards it in super excited way until we open.
We found a Red box waiting!
We even wore RED!
Let the fun begin!!
And the Play dough stole the show...
We ate some red foods like carrots, strawberry yogurt and mashed potato with a little added color.
And drank red!! She loved the apple juice and kept asking for more....

She kept putting all the straws in and taking them out for about good 30 min......

We ended our RED color introduction with a bath tub covered in red colored flowers. I found these amazing bath tub colors which make the bath sessions nothing else but very interesting......
By day three I got a strong "ED"... yippee!!
