Anna Prashan Ceremony (Celebrating the taste of her first food )
6:26 AM
We celebrated Mahi's first taste of solids this month. It's a part of the Indian ritual therefore we called the priest and had a small ceremony at home. Though I would be strictly nursing her for six months we wanted to have it done while the grandparents were still here.
Mahi was dressed in an Indian Attire.
Wardrobe Courtesy-Aunt Nivedita :) She also got her these adorable tiny bangles and a Gold ring. It was good fun dressing her up.
And here she goes tasting her first solid food, which was a home cooked Indian Sweet called Kheer. My baby is definitely born with a silver spoon in her mouth and hats off to her Dadi who specially called for the silver bowl and spoon all the way from India for this occasion. We definitely missed grandma and pa a lot :(
Getting Blessings from the priest
Lucky little princess!! Blessings from the grandparents:)
Some more pictures from that evening.
So glad that we could get this ritual done in the best way possible being in Sydney. The priest we had called was the same who performed her name keeping ritual and is simply amazing .We were kidding about how awesome would it be if he performed the rituals at Mahi's Wedding as well.
Thoughts are Nomadic!! Who really wants to think about Mahi's wedding and get all upset!!:(

First Valentine's Day!
3:52 PM
Valentine's Day has always been my personal favourite day and now with having Mahi, Kalyan and my parents around it was even more special.
We started with doing Mahi's photo shoot and one thing is for sure that it wouldn't have been possible without mom and dad's help. Where dad helped me with the props, mom put all her effort to make her smile. Also, hats off to this little poser who amazingly keeps all calm while being shot. Seems like she has already come in good terms with the lens.....
It being Mahi's first Valentine's we wanted to make it special and therefore we did set up a lill V-day corner at home, called some friends and had a lovely home cooked meal.

Cousin time!
5:58 PM
We went for my cousin sister's Anniversary party and it was quite a wonderful evening. It was Mahi's first "BIG" party and she was fine only until the DJ started. She has not been made very used to loud music therefore she felt quite uncomfortable. We passively took part in the gathering because most of the time I had to be away to soothe her. The party for sure like always was awesome.
Could not take much photos but still managed to click a couple with all her cousins.

Four Months Old !!
6:06 AM
My little baby is growing and changing everyday. It's so hard to believe that she is four already. We went for her wellness check and all looks good. This month's growth statistics are as following:-
Height:- 63.5cms
Weight:- 5.7kg
Her weight got me worried but then the doc eased me by telling that the weight gain seems less because she is taller than what she should be at four. Happy mum!! :)
The one thing that she can't be without,is her hand in mouth. I feel its time to introduce her to the teether.
She has become very generous with her smiles and specially those morning smiles are to die for. Nothing can go wrong if you wake up to a smile like that first thing in the morning. Also this month she has started to put some extra load on her vocal cords. Her cute coohs have transformed into high pitched screams, which are totally adorable. She puts so much energy into each one and waits to see our reaction.
The tummy time sessions have increased in number as well as duration. Now that she can somewhat balance her neck,it's nice to see her getting high centered on her tummy. She also has managed to turn a couple of times from her tummy to her back but not as much her way back.
The sleeping sessions have improved soo much. Though she sleeps around 11.30 in the night, she does sleep through until I wake her for a feed at around 5am,where she is just partially awake. She then wakes up around 9am,which makes it approximately 9 hours of sleep.I miss our midnight nursing sessions already..... Day naps vary from day to day,but overall she is a sound sleeper.
Just totally love to watch her do whatever she does. Feel so blessed and can't thank God enough for this little munchkin. She is precious!!

Trying her luck to get the taste of both hands.
