Going to Grandpa and Grandmas!!
11:41 AM
" We are going to India" was the best sentence ever told to me. I have been craving to go home ever since I was pregnant but the new Daddy was not so willing to leave his daughter after delivery so I could't go at all. Now that Mahi is already 18 months, I was adamant and so we made our second trip Home after two and a half years. We started from Sydney leaving behind onset of Winters to be in India in its peak Summers ( we got guts)
I WAS NERVOUS!! It being a long flight I had some serious doubts and all my fears came true. We started off smooth with Mahi nicely seated and tucked in her seat, until I jinxed it by feeling relaxed. After that I was on a run because missy hates to be seated for too long. I must have been awake for almost 22 hours when we reached home, but who could stay tired after seeing a Welcome this warm!!

MAHI all set to visit her grandparents and to make her first international flight
( I wasn't too confident about that though)
Yes " Emma" came along.

I slept nine hours straight without Mahi for the first time ever since she was born.
Yes I am HOME!!

Family Photo shoot 2015
10:29 AM
I must be the worst blogger of all times because I am almost two months late in posting this blog. Well! As they "better late than Never" . I need to stop taking this quote to the heart and deliver faster LOL!!
We got our long overdue family photo shoot done this Easter and as much as I am in love with the pictures I also cherish all the the memories we made over it. I have to be one lucky girl to have been born to parents who are so perfect and then married into a family only to get another set of amazing parents. It's like hitting a jackpot!!
Out of all the pictures taken, this one is my all time favorite. Mahi and Sai have great grandparents who are so selfless and giving. There mere presence around us gives us so much strength and the solid trunk of the tree in the picture depicts it absolutely well. To the branches that have evolved through them blossoming with joy is only because of the base strong.
Our first solos ever since Mahi was born ( in 18 months)
The pretty little girls of our family!!
It was a day very well spent more so because we took extra care of Mahi's nap times and took a very strategic time for the shoot. This little one has quite the capability of bringing the party down if the cranky pants are on...
We are trying to make the family photo shoot an annual thing and hoping that we do manage to do so. For now logging off !!

18th &19th month summary
9:41 AM
Hey Baby,
Sorry for not being able to document your 18th month. I just kept thinking of doing it one day after the other and before I knew you had turned 19 months. You are growing soo fast that sometimes I fear that you might wake up taller after a nap.......kidding!!
I am absolutely in love with this age. Though I do miss my baby sometimes but it's so much more interactive now. Not that we are having hearty conversations but we are bonding on a different level all together and it's soo much fun.
All you should know that you are an absolute bliss. Our winter sun and summer breeze. Mommy and daddy have no idea of what they would have done without you missy...........
Love,
Mommy:)
My little poser you have started to look at the camera when mommy says "smile" and if you are in the right mood I even get a cheesy smile.
Not in the below one though!!
The month of April wasn't too kind on us weather wise and we were literally house arrested because it kept pouring. Whenever we had a little break from the rain we would just run to the shopping centre and mahi would enjoy her rides and the open spaces to run around.
We have a peppa pig ride in the mall and as much as you love peppa the very sight of it gets you excited, but when you are on it your joys have no bounds. You would go screaming on the top of your voice "PAAPI" and keep laughing....
It's fall already and its getting chiller by the day (look at the fall colors just outside our house) ....
Mahi and Emma are bonding just like how I always imagined so both mommies decided to take their babies on a walk the other day, only that I was pushing an empty stroller.......
And then we decided to park our strollers to watch the birds!!!
This is the best part about being a mommy.... you get to enjoy the little things in life along with your kid. When else would the sight of birds make me smile.
Me being a mountain girl have always loved winters and the winter wear and the hot beverages and snow and everything related to it. We don't have snow in Sydney but the winters are chill. I can't wait for Mahi to grow a little bigger so we can drive to the Snowy mountains and build our snowman together, but for now lets just enjoy our new winter jammies!! Wish they did these in my size as well.
EATING:- You love food! and can totally eat spicy stuff. Still on your three meals and snack plan, but we have added one fruit snack before you go down for your afternoon nap,a toast with nutella after your breakfast as your reward and a sweet corn cob while you watch TV....You are still not into drinking milk but guess what you gulp down in seconds.....BABYCCINO,that's right!! whenever we go the mall mommy has her coffee and you get one of those babyccinos which are supposed to be just froth but mommy pays a little extra and they add milk and caramel to it.You are so aware of where we get our coffee from that today while we passed by the cafe you went screaming" Capi" " Capi".......you have got quite a memory up there missy!!
SLEEPING:- You have been taking only one nap during the day and I am afraid it's getting shorter by the day. From two hours it has come down to being only an hour and today you woke up all fresh in just half an hour. I hope its just this one time. Your nap is very precious to mama!!
At night you still wake up atleast five times for a feed...sob! sob!Mommy needs one night of uninterrupted sleep. I guess its too much to ask....
PERSONALITY :- Eighteen months really built up your little personality and I can see it so clearly. Will start from the best things that I like to the lesser nice... You are tiny but you have grace (not something that I expected from the little you). You are just so careful and would do everything so elegantly. You hate the idea of being dirty and to make you have a small tub of yougurt calls for half box of tissues because you would keep pointing and saying "keen keen" unitl its cleaned.
You never throw a tantrum too bad. You might fuss for something just for about 4sec and that's about it.
You love to make people laugh and repeat stuff if you think it's making others happy.....
Still a very happy kid and very easy going. You love the company of other kids and get so excited around them.
* You love yogurt sweet corn and fish
* You absolutely love your ice cream" Ameeya" and donuts "dona".
* You Love the movie Frozen and it plays in our house everyday while and till we are eating our meals.
* You love going out and call it "umi umi".
* You love your baby Emma and drag her around the whole house.
*Love your bath sessions and bubbles.
*Babyccinos
* You love to see dad home and so happy around him.
* Changing diapers
* Drinking milk
* Sitting in the stroller for too long

MILESTONES:-

Airoplane" Amiya"
Strawberry" Stoby"
Hot " OOT"
Morning" Moooonin"
Nite Nite" Ite Ite"
Please" pees"

You can count from 1 to 10( taught by Aunt shubha)
You can sing along the ABC song ( all mumbled up but still there)
You sing mumbled up " twinkle twinkle"
You can identify fruits and a few colors
THINGS I WANT TO REMEMBER
That could take a while.....
* You say " OH! DEAR" when something goes wrong and its just the cutest
* You bow and fold your hands in greeting when ever you see kalyan's mom. Yes I taught you that but its only her who gets it.
* If you drop something you put our hands on the cheeks and keep saying "Oh nooo" " Oh nooo"
* As soon as you wake up you keep looking for daddy and keep calling out " papa". Mommy gets a kiss and a "mooning"too.
* You remember some of the dialogues of the movie "Frozen" The other day we played Frozen while I fed you lunch and Princess Else goes " What's this smelling so nice? and before Ana replied you went " Choci" and giggled like they did in the movie... You amaze me in your own ways sister.
* You always wake up smiling may it be in the morning or afternoon.
