Here starts the party!!
Its been a while we are back in Sydney and finally got my hands on writing this blog. Being a mum to a Toddler isn't that easy as it looks. But that's a story for some other times
About our two week trip to Brisbane, we had an amazing time with the family like always and have so much to pen down its not funny. It was even more special this time with Neelima di (Kalyan's sister) visiting us from India.
Brisbane was too exciting with two major milestone birthday parties. Mahi's "BIG ONE" and Sai's (our gorgeous niece)"Sweet 16". Both were so different and calling out for a lot of thought. Sai (Sweet 16) was on a school trip to Paris and was coming back on the day of her birthday therefore,we decided to create a mini "PARIS" as her party theme so that she misses it a little less. For the tiny tott I had to do a " Garden fairy" theme which has been my fave from a long time now. We had been preparing for the last three months though but it was time to put it all together.
So as soon as we landed Brisbane a few days prior to the D day we got to work. It took us good three days to put up all the decorations and that time was full of laughter, arguments (mostly me & Kalyan) and absolute craziness.
It was after three years that we had Kalyan and all his sisters together so we had to get some photos and yes these kids were hard to manage to get a decent click.

Before we knew it was the day our niece was coming back from Paris and we were so excited as she had no clue what her party theme was.
We all got ready at 2 am to receive her and so did little mahi. We took Mahi along and tried to let her sleep as much, but I guess she could sense the excitement and got into the mood all fresh and active.

With a few tears shed and lots of smiles we took her home. When we reached we blindfolded for her to open her eyes to a mini Paris and she went "OMG" "OMG"...................Her reaction was priceless and we were happy about all efforts put to good use.
We wanted to just stay up and chat endlessly but we had to get our beauty sleep for the next BIG day!!

1st Birthday wishes from mum
Dear Mahi,
Watching you sleep right next to me takes me back to the day we got you home. A whole year passed by in literally a blink of an eye and as I sit down to relive this past year I guarantee a few tears to shed. Before you came into our life I had no idea of how much love I carried in my heart. You have been such a blessing and now I cannot even think of a life without you in it.
I clearly remember that night when I found out I was pregnant. I started with a shout out to dad followed by a gush of soo many emotions at the same time. Though you are a very well planned baby but I guess I was hoping to have more days to go through the maternity books before you come to live in the luxury resort for nine months, but you gave me no time and that made mommy a little nervous. I woke up to a different morning and started watching my steps from that day on.
My pregnancy, now that I think of it was pretty crazy with the worst afternoon and evening sickness,but the timings adjusted well to my working hours so all good. Going in for our first ultra sound I was both excited and nervous just hoping that everything is ok and you were healthy. You checked out perfect and we found that we would be adding a beautiful little girl to our family.
We had left all the shopping and your baby corner setting to the time when all the four grandparents arrive and it was a good thing to do because they had soo much fun doing all that for you. Then came the morning of 5thoct and my water broke at 8am.We headed to the hospital and were sent back saying that I need to still wait. Finally at 9 Pm I was hospitalized and next day at 3.45pm I held you in my arms. Welcoming you into our family was the best day of my life.
You have brought so much joy in our lives. Since day one you have been so calm and easy going. You are the happiest little girl I have ever met. Your smile and hugs brighten my day. Watching you grow and achieve each milestone have been soo much fun. I have loved to see your personality come to life and enjoy every little new thing that you do to amuse me. You have a contagious smile and you are spreading it lavishly.
I am beyond thankful to be your mommy and can't thank God enough for blessing us with all the joy in the form of you.

Cake Smash!!
Mahi gets to have the taste of her first cake and it is a moment to be captured in the perfect sense of its Glory. She did not like the idea of getting messy and enjoyed the water splash of her bath after the cake smash more than the event itself. Some pictures from the shoot

Fathers day Special!!
From the time he held you in his arms his life changed forever!!
I run short of words to describe what an incredible dad you have lill girl. Here is a collection of sweet memories of you two from each month to thank our special man for all that he does for us!! WE LOVE YOU !!
Our fathers day photo shoot is my favourite soo far. the weather God's were on side and the pictures came out exactly how I had imagined them to be. Mahi had not taken her nap before the shoot and I was totally dreading that she might get cranky but the change of scenery kept her occupied until our job was done.
The last and my all time favourite is this for a special grandpa.You have been the rock of the family and we feel so protected under your cover. May God bless you with good health and lots of happy times together :) THE BEST DAD EVER!!
Eleven months naughtier!!
My sweet lill girl,
We have reached the final countdown and I still don't want to believe that in less than 30 days you will be ONE! Seriously, how did this happen? This has been the fastest year of my life and I have loved every single minute with you. To watch you grow into this naughty little giggler, You are just all over the place now,crawling your way through and can pretty much stand with support. I still can't believe we have entered the twelth month.You have grown too fast!!

Eating:- You are such a good eater and that makes my life so easy. Your homemade pureed foods have gone a lot more coarser and you love'em .You also just love to eat from mum's plate and I can see you have a lot of fun.Breast feeding is still on(which I am really happy about).You have become this mini manual vacuum cleaner and make sure that the floor is always clean.However your solution to it is"Simply! put it in the mouth". So whom am I kidding!! you are pretty much eating everything from paper to slippers, We are running a constant patrol on you and the funniest I have caught you with, is eating the filling of one of your stuff toys. Probably the digging has been going on from quite some time.Phew!!
Personality:- You are just too funny for your age.You love to make me laugh. I can say that because now days you kind of try to eat my knee(my ticklish zone) when I am sitting and I am in splits. You keep doing that again and again and laugh with me every time you see me laugh. You are still so generous with your smiles when you look at new faces but you do not go to people that easily.You are very naughty and do not like to be stopped from doing something. I have had a lot of people tell me what a happy kid you are no one ever hears a peep out of you. You certainly are a very very easy going baby.

*You are now trying to stand without any support and can do that for a couple of second before you fall.

* You wave "Bye" and sometimes when asked for where is head,you keep hitting your head quite hard with both hands until mum knows where head is.
*You are trying to say a lot of things and we hear a lot of different sounds now.
*You give mommy slobbery kisses when asked for sometimes.

* You love to follow mum and want her to be in your sight.

*Not giving her the laptop to work on annoys youcompletely. This leaves me with the only choice to do all my work when you are asleep.

Spring Bucketlist 2014
Well! well! well! Spring is here and with having a one year old I can't wait to start exploring more of the outdoors now. The winters have been crazy this time and the rains (though I personally love'em) made it impossible to plan any outdoor activity. Here goes a list of what we would like to do and hoping put a check mark by a few!!
