Mahika's First Day of Kindergarten

In the string of  many firsts, we achieved a very important milestone this week when Mahi started school. Although, I was and still am in a total disbelief  that my baby has grown so big, but the way my little girl embraced this big milestone made us very proud as parents.

This "VERY" big milestone was definitely crying out for some very big surprises for the Kindergartner. Therefore, a day before the school I prepared a little gift bag for her with all the school supplies....

It's was so cute to see her eyes light up at the sight of the gift bag, but Missy first requested for a picture of her with it before she started to dig in...

Mahi is quite appreciative for anything that is done for her , irrespective of how big or small the act  is. She is so thankful for the little gestures that I do for her, like rubbing her back or giving her play room a clean.  After opening all her presents she gave a BIG Thank You! to me and her dad.

The best was her expressions that completely cracked me up...

After she opened the school shoe box she read through an instruction card ( she read the entire instructions and found herself a surprise)

After packing it all up we went to get the last sleep before the first day of school.

She woke up with the biggest smile on her face the next day and couldn't just wait to start the day.  After taking the shower, she headed straight to take blessings from GOD and recited some important mantras.

Got herself dressed ...

And headed for Breakfast..

I was so nervous what to give her for lunch so went along with something she likes and gave her Pasta .

Along with snacks and fruits for the two breaks ..

We received this amazing  school present from uncle Gagan  and has literally made mama's life very simple to stack up all fruits in this compact tower.

We then headed for a traditional "First Day of School" shoot

We reached the school and were not at all nervous because Mahi had two of her very close friends from preschool coming to the same school .
Their were many other kids from her preschool and the familiar faces made her very comfortable.

The Trio..... already Rocking!

I had two of my best friends growing up who are still a vital part of my life( couldn't help but share)  and I really wish Mahi to grow up to such friendships because they definitely go a looong way.

Their was no fear or nervousness in Mahi and the three musketeers walked as if they owned the place.

We headed to the class and got some more time with the kids to settle them down and to familiarize with the teacher.
There was a beautiful Welcome by Miss Jacinta.

Mahika headed to find her name to see her spot in class.

A little chatter with the teacher telling her about all the friends she has in the class who have come from the same childcare.
.

And back to being busy ...

We didn't just leave their with a hug and kiss to her but also with an assurance that she will completely rock the day only to come back in the afternoon  to see the kids wearing a " I Rocked the first day of Kindergarten" tiara. They were also asked  to tell something  about the day to which Mahi wrote " Love Day" ( needn't say more)
