The happenings of the Long weekend!!

We started with our long weekend by leaving for Sydney on the Friday afternoon. It felt a bit strange to actually be visiting the place which we called ours for so many years... I wouldn't deny that this change of place has been refreshing somewhere but we  miss the  fun vibe of  that crazy city everyday.

We spent some good time with Aunt Rosy and her family the cherry on top being Aunt Shubha who also joined us there...

The kids took on to biking in the morning and the cushion on the the cycle handle is not to be missed..... Mahi totally loved all the attention and love from her oh! so loving cousins :)

Breakfast in this garage is when we know its family time  :)

And then the kids decided to go to the lake and feed some ducks while mommies and daddy stayed home for a chat over tea...  and yes they took the camera along... the clicks were sooo adorable and so professional.

Veronica takes care of Mahi like I have seen no ten year old do... this girl amazes me all the time.

And Ronit definitely is the most responsible boy for his age that I have ever come across...

Then joined Mahi's other sweet sis and brother and the party began for these lill ones just to never end !!

Silly times with cousins are the times well lived!!

Too busy playing with her sweet lill lion Mishti di and Adi got her :)

Well I realize that our Sydney trips are soo going to be all round trip which shall include meeting up with family, friends and SHOPPING!!  but not to Victoria Secret or H& M instead we would be hitting the Big Indian Grocery store because the prices of everything that we want for cooking is too high in Canberra so we had to buy loads of stuff to get our pantry stuffed/happy...

The one day we got in Canberra with Aunt Shubha we spent it in the Cockington greens ... A place which is enjoyed by both big and small..
It was our second trip but only that Mahi was all grown this time... the one with her when she was three months old...

This time passed with a wink of an eye and look at her now ...

And that's how the long weekend came to an end with lots of family fun time and memories well made :)

Every" LAST" is the "START" of something New!!

Home is where Love abides! and for us the house @ Peachtree road in Sydney will always be very special, for this was the house where we started our life together as newly weds :). We chose it quite strategically making sure it was walking distance to where kalyan worked and to the shopping mall, and also for the outlet of the money to stay closer to the inlet.. LOL!!

Now, after more than four years we bid adieu to this wonderful place where we became a family of three from two and of course with a heavy heart :(

Our packing started this Easter and in almost two weeks we were all ready and packed to make the move. Luckily we got the house which we both liked the most in Canberra and early this April we made the BIG move. While we packed there was someone who had lots of fun!!

And before we knew, it was our last day in this house and mahi's Dora aunty( dolly) prepared some  yummilious food and we all had it together for the last time under that roof ...

Ah!! the day of the move started quite early and before we knew the whole house was packed in a truck ready to go... we were on the road alongside our entire house...

While we waited for them to load my mind ran in flashbacks and all the fun that we did in here..       and here is a quick glimpse of some very happy times in this house!!

Our last photo in the house!!

 `
And mahi needed some more with her fave uncle Gagan...

It was then time to hit the road to make sure we reach Canberra as scheduled. The scenery on the way was breathtaking. Fall was blooming and it being my fave season was getting me quite excited.

We reached Canberra on time and it gave us enough time to bask in the sun before our stuff arrived...

Our little doll taking the lead inside the house with Lord Ganesha.

Too happy to see all the extra space that she can use to run around!!

A week ago this seemed like an endless task ..... It's been ten days today and the house is all set and running :)

And if there is one person who is absolutely having fun would be this little munchkin..

Daddy's ready for his first day @ the new office..

And we took upon some gardening for the day ....

Mahi loves the little space outdoors and we spend some nice sunny hours there everyday,,

The first weekend started with a nice English breakfast in one of the little cafes near the weekend  markets followed by lots of playtime for Mahi under the famous mushroom..

I write this blog after ten days of moving and though I miss Sydney, our friends and family I can see how lovely this place would be for mahi to grow and that makes me like it more. I can't wait to make some awesome memories in this city and this house. signing off!! but only, this time from Canberra :)
