Hey Mahi,

You are 16 months old and this month I have really noticed you looking much older....more toddler...less baby. Always bittersweet to write another monthly post. You are becoming quite a big  girl and to be honest mommy doesn't like it. I wish I could hit the pause button just to soak in all the last of your baby features. Your sweet little actions and the adorable sounds you make these days.
     
You are still my funny little girl and totally crack me up with your funny dance moves. You wake up with the most beautiful smile after your nap ever since you were tiny. You keep watching us do and say stuff and are soaking all of it in. We hear you repeat a word here and there sometimes.


EATING:- You are eating three hearty meals and two snacks a yogurt and a fruit as your daily diet. We introduced fish to your diet and you gobble it down in no time. Apart from that you love junk and I stand guilty to let you indulge once in a while. You look so adorable eating ice cream off your little cup with most of your face covered in it that I have to let you.


Sometimes when mommy wants to have her evening tea in peace and not with you hanging onto one arm trying to grab my mug daddy pitches in and takes you to play. You always turn back and scream out for me which melts my heart and before you are gone I begin to want you back..



SLEEPING:-  You are just getting better with sleep every day. You have gone down to taking only one nap from two and sleep so well at night after a hot bath and massage. We have been going to the park on a regular bases and you are quite exhausted when we come back. After all the running around that you do there you are pretty much left with only a little energy to eat take a shower and sleep.  We are very happy with this routine as it gives mommy and daddy lot of alone time which we had almost forgotten about.



PERSONALITY:- You are still the happiest baby ever. I was told how kids grow into little monsters when they teethe but you take long naps instead. You are so playful and can go on playing peek a boo with mommy all day long. No unneeded tantrums or fuss. You are very friendly with kids and would scream so loud out of excitement that you might scare them a bit sometimes.
The other day while mommy was doing some cleaning and you volunteered to help. I was more than proud of how you took instructions and stacked four of these heavy nappy bags in your room. The cutest part is that you just didn't throw them but carefully stacked one over the other. You lost your balance so many times but you just didn't give up....

LIKES :-
* You love watching the song" Let it go" from the movie frozen and would sing that all the time" ET I O".
* You love playing in the park and would get your shoes and try to put them on around the time we usually go.
*You love interacting with kids and in your cute little gibberish language try making long conversations as well.
* You love "fish"
* You want to press the lift buttons every time we go to the mall and  quite like doing that therefore we take some trips up and down just for fun...
* You love cleaning and do not like to get messy so while playing in the park while digging a burrow  with other kids when your clothes have mud on them you would keep showing it to me until I dust it off.
DISLIKES :-

My sweet Valentine ....... I am so much in love with your cute little actions these days. Wish I could capture every new thing that you do. Unfortunately, we had a bit of an incident this Valentines. What happened was that  mommy placed the camera on the table and you pulled it down by the sling  snapping it  into two.  We ended up losing our fave lens and the camera :( sob! sob!  What I am still happy about is that this happened right after we had our first Valentine shoot ( and probably the only).


You are terrific with how you pose these days..... I handed you this board and trust me all I had to do after that was click. You were quite a natural while posing and along with maintaining your balance on the stool( which was a little high) you managed to handle the sign board pretty nicely.

On the Friday of the Australia day weekend me and mahi decided to go on Girls day out. I really felt that I am not out with a baby anymore. After giving mum company in shopping this girl sat in her high chair and enjoyed a full bowl of rice noddles.





After a nice Thai lunch we decided to get some Max Brenner and we mad a lot of noise and played with every single thing on the table before our order arrived.

We decided to spend a relaxed weekend and have lots of time spent indoors as it was reported to be a very hot weekend and so we did . Just on that one day we went strolling at the harbor and enjoyed a ferry ride to the Opera house. Mahi loves to explore the outdoors now that is on her own feet.
